The weather forecast is hinting that those of us dreaming of a white Christmas in the Northeast just might get our wish this year (fingers crossed!). That said, ski season is already well underway in other parts of the country right now. Inspired by the fall shows—when Jil Sander sent a parade of the perfect après-ski knits down the runway—we’ve been waiting to hit the powder ever since. And now, at long last, snow days are finally here and alpine-inspired looks are completely appropriate! What better reminder of the invigorating pleasures of winter than this image from babble.com of Gwen Stefani and her son Kingston on the slopes? In that spirit, we suggest you bundle up in a fur-trimmed Moncler parka or a J.Crew hand-knit Nordic sweater when you head outdoors to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year.
