With the Summer Olympics on the horizon in London, it’s never too soon to step up your game and add a little sportif to your style. Just ask Alexander Wang, who showed geometric, color-blocked “racing suits” and dresses layered over swimwear for spring; or Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag Bone, whose surf-and-turf mixing of tailored jackets over bikinis, neoprene bikers, and pencil skirts made for a sporting update to their urban looks; or Stella McCartney, the official creative designer of the British Olympics team, who inserted hints of breathable fabric into the breezy crepe dresses on her runway.
