We stopped in our tracks when we came across Mode Majeure’s image of Inès de la Fressange on the streets of Paris. A true ambassador of the guidelines she set forth in her book Parisian Chic, de la Fressange is dressed in entirely familiar items (a gingham button-down, a sailor-striped long-sleeved T-shirt, chinos, and a corduroy jacket) that we all likely own, but have left forgotten, crumpled, and buried in the backs of our closets. De la Fressange, however, takes the bold approach of not only rescuing these pieces, but wearing them all at once—and as you can see here, the combination is incredibly fresh and inspiring, a je ne sais quoi that we set out to capture in this week’s Social Shopper. As always, don’t forget to keep it social by sending your own suggestions via Facebook and Twitter.
