When It Comes to the Met Gala, Zendaya Always Understands the Assignment

As a seven-time Met Gala attendee, Zendaya is no stranger to hitting the event s famous red carpet. So, one could say the anticipation was high for the star to make a cameo at the 2025 Met Gala. On the first Monday in May, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour will co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala—with LeBron James serving as honorary chair—celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art s spring exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” And if anyone was up for the challenge of delivering a memorable fashion look on the Met steps, it was Zendaya. The actor arrived in a custom Louis Vuitton three-piece suit in cream, accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat.

Of course, this wasn t Zendaya s first fashion flex at the event. Since attending her very first Met back in 2015, the Euphoria and Dune star has consistently served up ensembles that are as head-turning as they are on theme. One standout example? In 2018 when the actor wore an armored Versace look as a nod to Joan of Arc. It was a smart choice for the "Heavenly Bodies" theme, which dove into the intersection of Catholicism and fashion. Zendaya also nailed thematic dressing for the 2019 "Camp: Notes on Fashion" gala, when she showed up in a Cinderella-like Tommy Hilfiger gown, complete with stylist Law Roach as her fairy godmother—wand and all. If Zendaya is going to do one thing on the carpet, it’s put on a show.

Last year for the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme, Zendaya delivered not one but two striking ensembles. She first hit the Met steps in an ocean blue gown by Maison Margiela’s John Galliano that included a matching dramatic headpiece by Stephen Jones. She then followed it up with never-before-worn vintage Givenchy couture from the spring 1996 collection, one of two collections that Galliano designed for the house.

Let s hope she hits the carpet again next year!
