Hello!
Hi!
I don t want to touch you,
cause I just touched a thousand people.
Well, courteous, thank you.
Let s go in here.
Okay.

I love cosmetics.
One of the reasons that I went to Estee Lauder
to help me create Tom Ford Beauty was
their expertise not only in fragrance, but in cosmetics.
So it was my intention.
[Celia] All along.
Absolutely.

One of the things I think about is the look,
because that s the character for the season.
[Celia] Who is the Tom Ford Beauty woman?
Who do you see wearing these cosmetics?
Well, I would like to think that it s a woman
who either is our ready-to-wear customer,
or aspires to be our ready-to-wear customer.
If she could afford it, would be our ready-to-wear customer.
So I think it s the same customer,
it s just a broader, it s more accessible.
[Celia] Is there a desert island product?
The one thing that you think people
are really not gonna be able to live without?
Well, I don t know about a desert island product,
because I m not sure you need cosmetics on a desert island,
but one thing that I m really happy
to hear is doing very well is Shade and Illuminate.
There s a dark tone and a lighter tone,
because it s really about correcting the architecture
of your face and helping your face look symmetrical.
And if you apply it well, which is pretty easy,
I think, it actually doesn t really
look like you re wearing anything.
[Celia] I ve read that there s
some things that you yourself like to wear,
that you love from the collection.
Absolutely.
There are a lot of men who, if they
nick themselves shaving, or they were up too late,
when their girlfriends aren t looking
or their wives aren t looking,
they take a little bit of concealer and they fix that.
I know a lot of men with wives
and kids who you would be surprised.
But of course, I have an eye for it,
so I know exactly what they re doing.
It isn t just a little cult thing
that I m playing around with.
It s something I m really serious about,
and I worked on it very hard.
