[Ben] With this fragrance, I focused on

a duality, which I found in Russell s character.

The first part of it was really related

to him as an athlete, and what I d seen and experienced

in terms of him playing basketball,

which was this immensely fierce competitor.

On a personal level, he was very humble

and very soft-spoken, and very

interested and very creative.

So to me, there was a, I wouldn t say a contradiction,

but there was a contrast.

And I think with the fragrance,

to capture that contrast was interesting.

In my mind, is really two parts.

There s a very fresh aspect,

and then there s a warm, kind of heavy, rich base to this.

It opens with the bergamot aging accord

and osmanthus, which is more described

as a sweet, leathery, floral note.

The mid is a black violet and tobacco leaves.

And the bass consists of vetiver from Haiti,

and a suede accord which is a very soft kind of accord

that lingers on skin.

I ve hoped to create a very unique fragrance,

letting people experience something completely new.
