The actor began her getting-ready process yesterday by hanging out with her parents, whom Pugh was happy to share the experience with. Then it was time for glam, where makeup artist Alex Babsky and hairstylist Peter Lux got to work. After quickly admiring her jewels for the night, including a Vuitton necklace inspired by Joan of Arc, Pugh slipped on her vibrant Oscars dress. Given the grand occasion, she and Corbin-Murray wanted to ensure her red carpet look channeled the excitement that she felt about the ceremony. “Rebecca and I have really craved and enjoyed using bright colors,” Pugh said. “For a time that’s so magical, it only seemed right to give every event a bang of color and fun.”

For last night’s look, Pugh also continued with something she has been doing all of awards season: infusing the spirit of her Little Women character, Amy March, into her fashion choices. “I’ve constantly thought how Amy March would be proud of our loud, mad choices,” Pugh said. “Every shape, color, and bow has Amy written all over them…. Louis Vuitton went above and beyond and created my colorful dream dress.” Once ready to go, the actor then hopped into her party bus and headed to the ceremony—and showing she’s a true fashion pro, she stood all the way to the venue to avoid wrinkles. “No mean feat in sky-high heels,” Pugh said.
