Consider Rachel Weisz: the actress exited Annabel’s in Mayfair last Monday night in summer white, her modest-yet-mini-dress capturing the season’s luxe yet easy mood.

The twist this summer is that the looks are mainly covered—long sleeves, trousers, midi lengths—and in pale neutrals: ivory, cream. At Wimbledon, Tessa Thompson put a fresh twist on tennis dressing in a Ralph Lauren suit worthy of Katherine Hepburn, its strong shoulders and high waisted trousers recalling Hollywood’s golden age.
