Barbie Ferreira has become a household name in recent years, partly due to her role as Kat in the ever-buzzy hit series Euphoria. While Ferreira and her fellow actors are known for their boundary-pushing makeup and sartorial prowess in the show, Ferreira’s personal style, as we learn in this installment of 7 Days, 7 Looks, rivals her character Kat; it even somewhat overlaps.
“I’ve literally worn things on the show that are from my closet. A lot of it is modeled after what I wear,” says Ferreira, noting that the relationship between the show’s costume director Heidi Bibbins is very collaborative. Through a laugh, she admits that she even took home a Vivienne Westwood corset that viewers will see later in the season. “She [Bibbins] hasn’t asked for it back, but it is in my house!” the model laughs.
In the episode, see Ferreira walk Vogue through a week in her wardrobe. For a “picnic look,” she’ll wear a playful outfit like a bright crocheted GCDS dress and track-sole Ganni loafers. But there are also more sleek and sultry ensembles like a chain strapped St. John dress the actress wears to red carpet affairs. There are also pops of Balletcore via corsets, ballet flats, and silky bows in her hair. Here, Ferreira opens up on what she wears in a week.
Monday: On Set
“This is, of course, me being fancy on set. Not every day do I wear something as cute as this,” quips Ferreira in a matching marble print Fendi pajama set and Simon Miller bubble clogs. “I like a matching set a lot.”
Tuesday: Date Night
“It’s kind of giving me Renaissance Fair, but in a cute way,” says Ferreira of her date night look consisting of a green Collina Strada silk top and purple Vince midi skirt. To finish it off, she grabs a pink bag shaped like a bow embellished with a pink stone—it’s akin to something a Polly Pocket doll might own. “I’m ready,” she says, bag in hand.
Wednesday: Running Errands
“This is a day-to-day cute little moment in L.A.,” says the actress of the look she’ll wear running errands that includes a Miaou corset paired with Tyler McGillivary jeans. “I love a corset. I’ve always loved a corset. I used to thrift a lot of them,” she explains how her day-to-day look is often balletcore with corsets and bows and ballet flats being wardrobe linchpins.
Thursday: At a Picnic
Whether headed to a picnic, the farmer’s market, or a zoo, Ferreira clues us into what she’d wear. “I love to play with color. I love a jewel tone. I also love pastels,” the actress-model explains of her bright-hued crocheted GCDS dress and colorful Bea Bongiasca hoops.
Friday: Red Carpet
“This is my red carpet fancy look if I’m trying to dress to impress,” explains Ferreira in a chain-strapped black St. John midi dress. “The scariest moment on a red carpet was about 20 seconds before I walked out into the Met gala. A string of pearls just fell on the ground and I really thought my whole dress was going to unravel… Thankfully, I did not unravel,” Ferreira laughs. The key aspect Ferreira looks for in a dress? “I like to make sure the waist is cinched,” she explains.
Saturday: Attending Meetings
For meetings, Ferreira goes for a “bratty schoolgirl look,” made up of a matching Mirror Palais crop top and skirt set. “I’ve always liked showing a little skin,” says the model citing crop tops and cutouts as some of her favorite ways to do so.
Sunday: Out With Friends
“This is a going out look, a concert look, a karaoke look dare I say,” says Ferreira in a body-hugging printed turtleneck midi dress by Tyler McGillivary. “I love a turtleneck. I love a long sleeve, I love a slinky little bodycon moment, and I love a boot that disappears into the dress, so I don’t need to shave my legs,” she explains. To top the look off, Ferreira grabs her Bottega Veneta bag. “Bottega is youthful. It is the moment.”
