This past week, Alessandra Ambrosio and her daughter, Anja, took mommy-and-me style to a whole new level. The duo have graced the humid climate of Rio de Janeiro in sets of relaxed, chic, and patriotic homegrown looks. Take this past Friday, where yellow was the warmest color for the mommy-and-me pair: The supermodel’s torch-bearing look was an incarnation of the Brazilian flag and a spin off of the country s uniform for the games, a white midriff-baring jersey with dashes of yellow on the sleeve and green piping, complete with a matching pair of shorts. Anja walked about in classic Adidas shell toe sneakers and pastel shorts, as well as a yellow tank to match her mother’s ensemble.
A couple days later, the duo once again made an adorable cameo. Anja wore a charming seafoam green romper with neon yellow tassels, while her catwalk-strutting mom opted for slip-on shoes and high-waisted, cutoff denim shorts. Ambrosio added a little shock factor to her cheeky tourist tee, donning the piece as a crop top which revealed her washboard abs. What cinched it as a style moment? They both opted for reflective shades, transforming the sidewalk into their personal—and very cool—runway.
