amfAR’s 7th Annual Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles

Last night, traffic backed up along Cahuenga Boulevard as cars waited to drop off guests for the seventh annual amfAR Inspiration Gala at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. The gala, which this year raised more than $2 million for AIDS research programs, was filled with its usual crowd of Hollywood’s finest. Inside, Heidi Klum stunned in a green Wolk Morais gown and mingled among friends like Jon Hamm and Dita Von Teese, while across the room, pals Courtney Love and Paris Hilton (who made the case for autumn white in a floral lace Self-Portrait gown) posed for pictures. This year’s honorees were none other than Jeffrey Katzenberg and Charlize Theron, who have both endlessly fought to bring awareness to AIDS education, prevention, and research. Theron (who wore an elegant black Dior dress for the occasion) was introduced to the stage by friend Chelsea Handler, and urged the crowd to use their platform to empower, calling for “big, bold ideas to fight poverty and discrimination.” After the evening of speeches, an auction, and a performance by Jason Derulo, the empowered crowd went off into the night, leaving behind another successful evening for amfAR and their incredible work for AIDS research, treatment, education, and advocacy.
