It seems that everyone is getting into the spirit of the Tony Awards. While there are still a couple weeks until the lavish ceremony on June 7, the fashion flock is already clamoring for a distinctive red carpet for the Great White Way. Last night, designer Billy Reid opened the doors to his Charles Street store, where guests could take in the relaxed environment, with a stiff Manhattan in hand, and chat it up with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time star and Tony nominee Alex Sharp. While the two have worked together previously—Reid dressed Sharp for this year s Met Gala—they had never met until last night. "It s like a blind date," joked Reid. He added that he wanted to work with Sharp because "he had definitely worked hard to get where he is. I appreciate that backstory." Reid wasn’t alone in his appreciation of Sharp’s work last night: Guests including Anna Wintour, _Vogue’_s Virginia Smith, Ian Jones, and countless others flooded the jewel-box boutique. But what did the star himself have to say about the outpour of support? "I m just living the dream," exclaimed Sharp. "I hope that the attention that the play is getting from the Tony’s, [which] is such an honor, will increase in bringing audiences."
