With Election Day looming in the morning, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund after-party was just a stone’s throw from the ceremony at haute members spot Spring Place. As distinguished guests were finishing up their drinks and nibbles at Spring Studios, in what has become an unofficial tradition for the past three years, the previous winners hosted this year’s party. Lounging on the banquette-like seating and sipping cocktails were previous Fund-ers including Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School, jewelry wunderkinds Marc Alary and Pamela Love, along with a crew of runway regulars including Imaan Hammam, Vanessa Moody, and Georgia Fowler. But it was the night’s newest designer, Zendaya, who seemed to truly marvel at the entire competition and evening. “It’s a beautiful thing to watch,” said the 20-year-old star dressed in a floor-skimming frock from Michael Kors Collection. Sharing that sentiment was New York Giants’s wide receiver Victor Cruz who said, “Just being in this room is a big deal.” And no doubt, fun, too, as the festivities lasted long into the evening. But not late enough for everyone to not get up early to vote.
