La La Anthony’s Guide to Crease-Free Concealer and Bronzed Makeup

These days, La La Anthony has plenty of reasons to get glam. Whether she’s hosting the Met Gala red carpet or headed to a girls’ night out with bestie Kim Kardashian, her social calendar is packed. But how does the star stay camera- (or Instagram-) ready? Here, the TV personality, entrepreneur, and actor, who stars in Netflix’s latest rom-com The Perfect Find, walks us through her beauty routine, from everyday skin care to bronzed makeup.

Admittedly, Anthony always starts with a Neutrogena towelette to ensure all makeup residue is removed, followed by Shani Darden’s cleansing serum. She layers an essence and eye cream then unveils a Skkn by Kim serum duo. “I do those two things, and I don’t know if you can tell, but my face is, like, glowing now—and also the redness is going down a little bit,” she says moments before lathering on a lightweight moisturizer. With her skin prepped, it’s time for a hair treatment. To promote hair growth, her Inala serum is just the solution, thanks to a powerhouse blend of pure rice water, biotin, and arginine. It’s as simple as adding a few drops to her edges.

“Let me preface this by saying I am not a makeup artist,” Anthony muses. “For those of you who struggle like me, let’s give this a whirl.” Though the 41-year-old is not a pro by trade, it’s clear she’s learned her fair share while in the makeup chair. We see her etch her brows with precision, then deftly blend Giorgio Armani’s beloved foundation across her visage—first with a brush, then a sponge. “You want to go down the neck and [blend] everywhere because you don’t want to have splotches and stuff.” Tarte’s Shape Tape is her concealer of choice, buffed in quickly with a sponge to avoid creasing. She’s quick to set her base with Laura Mercier’s setting powder too, ahead of contour and bronzer. Moving on to eyes, Anthony sweeps an array of warm, shimmering shadows across her lids, with a hint of gold to her inner corner and lower lash line. “If you’re going to go bronze, then go bronze!” she says. Then, Fenty Beauty and Makeup by Mario highlighters create the ultimate glowing enhancements to her cheekbones. Lips, on the other hand, are accentuated by MAC’s lip liner in shade Cork along with two plumping glosses. Finally, a mist of setting spray and a spritz of Ciara’s eau de parfum provide the finishing touches. “I’m proud of this! I think I did okay.”
