Prague has a lot going on, architecturally: Gothic churches, Art Nouveau residences, technicolor facades. A snoop inside those buildings reveals interiors that are just as dazzling. Vaulted wood ceilings covered in intricate floral frescoes, oversized windows offering fairytale views, and sloped walls all make for quite the idyllic setting—and if you’re traveling to the City of 100 Spires, why not get a firsthand glimpse with an Airbnb?

Our favorite vacation rentals are right in the heart of the city for easy exploring; though these eight spots are plenty enticing for the homebody, too. Stay in a one-bedroom with limewashed walls and rustic furnishings for a cozy accommodation. For group trips (or family vacations), we found a palatial five-bedroom apartment so luxurious, it rivals any five-star hotel. Or, if you’re after something truly unique, pick a spot where the architecture is the highlight: Between 18th-century frescoes and Baroque curved ceilings, you’re in for a memorable holiday.
Ahead, the best Airbnbs in Prague for every traveler.
The Emerald
There’s no TV in this quaint spot; in fact, there are very few modern amenities at all (although, fear not, it does have WiFi). It all adds to the transportive effect of this tiny home, which despite being right in Prague’s city center, is actually modeled after a Tuscan villa: limewash-like walls, patinated furniture, and antique bronze fixtures all conspire to create a space that feels plucked from a different era. The fact that you’ll be right in the heart of Old Town, with plenty of access to public transport for exploring, is just a nice bonus.

Nerudova 211
Originally built in the early 18th century, this house was first owned by an architect, and you can see references to the original proprietor everywhere (frescoed beams! Parquet flooring! Vaulted ceilings!). The Airbnb is located in the Malá Strana neighborhood, quite close to Prague Castle and several baroque squares. Central location aside, the fairytale feel of this luxury apartment is reason enough to book it.
Rooms: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Amenities: Bathtub, washer, TV, crib, elevator, luggage dropoff allowed
Authentic Apartment with Balcony
This sunny little studio is perfect for a couple. Rustic terracotta floors and vintage furniture charm, while outside, a stately balcony has a little bistro table for apéro and breakfast looking out onto the rainbow-colored street. The second-floor apartment is right down the street from the Old Town Square and the Astronomical clock; as well as within walking distance to several foodie hot spots (420, the Michelin chef-run restaurant, is only five minutes away).
Rooms: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Amenities: Washer, TV, coffee maker, balcony, luggage dropoff allowed
Wabi Sabi Wellness
It’s a departure from the ornate style that typically runs through the city, but the calming palette and organic style of this one-bedroom provide the ideal relaxing backdrop. Textured walls, plush white linens, and raw wood star in every room. Situated between two of the main train stations and with free parking offered in the school, it’s a convenient option for travelers coming to Prague as one stop on a multi-city tour.
Rooms: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom
Amenities: Washer/dryer, HDTV, Bang Olufsen Bluetooth sound system, gym equipment, crib, coffee maker, backyard, shared sauna, shared rooftop, elevator, gym in building, EV charger
Baroque Residence
Those coming to the Czech Republic to soak up Baroque architecture will want to book this three-bedroom. Located down the street from Charles Bridge in a quiet area without bars (though there is a Czech design shop in the basement), the house dates back to 1705. Inside, intricately hand-painted wood ceilings warm up an all-white setting—the product of a recent renovation to modernize the home, which now includes an HDTV, air conditioning, and a Nespresso maker in the kitchen.
Rooms: 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms
Amenities: Bathtub, washer/dryer, HDTV, crib, high chair, baby bath, coffee maker, private backyard
Czechoslovak Residence
For larger group stays, this sprawling apartment can fit up to 10 people. It offers up a near excess of charming features, from antique wooden furniture to intricate Persian rugs to an original blue-and-white tile fireplace in one of the bedrooms—only fitting, as the residence itself dates back to 1849 and is housed in Prague’s first Art Nouveau building. Start your mornings with a cup of coffee perched on the window seat; it looks out onto Wenceslas Square and the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, for one of the best views in the city.
Rooms: 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
Amenities: Bathtub, washer/dryer, elevator
Sunny Penthouse Loft
It’s one of the more modern stays on our list, but a quick step outside this two-bedroom loft provides all the Gothic charm you need. Inside, a bright pastel color palette—the bathroom, with a celery green sunken tub is a real highlight—provides a sunny antidote to the heavy architecture of the city. It’s a quick walk to landmarks like the Charles Bridge and the National Theater, so you’re never too far from the town’s main attractions.
Rooms: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Amenities: Bathtub, washer/dryer, HDTV, sound system, travel crib, high chair, baby bath, board games, fireplace, coffee maker, elevator, luggage dropoff allowed
Old Town Magical Stay
This old town apartment is right in the center of it all (and, noise-sensitive travelers be warned, the accompanying sounds that come with a spot directly in Prague Old Town). The benefits far outweigh this, though: Soaring high ceilings decked out with ornate chandeliers, a light-filled living area, and fully equipped kitchen featuring beautiful tile work on the floor.
Rooms: 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms
Amenities: Bathtub, washer/dryer, sound system, travel crib, high chair, coffee maker, elevator
