We’re not even a full month into 2024, and yet the celebrities are already back to their old tricks when it comes to public displays of affection. If I’m sounding critical, please allow me to explain myself: I weirdly love celebrity PDA. It’s like fine art, if fine art were peak-Hollywood, a little bit sloppy, and potentially orchestrated by a bevy of publicists. (Sorry to burst your bubble, but yes, some celebrity relationships are staged! We have proof!)
In all earnestness, though, it’s a rough world out there, so if stars want to spend their time making out in public, I say let them enjoy it (and let us read about it in the tabloids). Below, find the most delightfully eyebrow-raising PDA of the year thus far:
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift has always been fairly private about her relationships (except when she’s obliquely referring to men in her songs, of course), so it was a genuine delight to see her getting cozy with her NFL-star boyfriend Travis Kelce on Sunday, January 28, after the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet
This red-hot couple appropriately set the room ablaze at the 2024 Golden Globes, where they were repeatedly caught kissing by the cameras. They didn’t walk the red carpet together, but everyone knows that’s so over as a relationship signifier—where it’s really at is the seated-at-table PDA, and Jenner and Chalamet more than delivered on that front.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
Not to be outdone by her little sister, Kardashian made out with husband Barker on the Emmys red carpet while the pair were dressed in matching black suits. Very horny-business-executive!
Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli
These two are known for actually being pretty chaste and coy in public, but now that they’ve officially (re-)hard-launched each other, it is on. They were allegedly “all over each other” at a Saturday Night Live afterparty following Elordi’s hosting gig in January.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens
The Olympic gymnast and her NFL-star hubby were seen giving each other a major football-field smooch after Owens’s season ended in January. Biles even posted a pic of the kiss on her Instagram; we love to see it!
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart
This double-actor couple has been married for 14 years, but that didn’t stop them from getting cozy at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. “I want to thank my lovely wife, Calista Flockhart, who supports me when I need a lot of support,” Ford said onstage, fighting back tears, as he accepted the Career Achievement Award—and that, after an evening of sweetly holding his wife’s hand on the red carpet. Elegant PDA, yes, but PDA all the same!
