Winter finally arrived on the East Coast in January, but you’d hardly know that from the month’s top Vogue pins. It’s true, dear reader, that you were drawn to Stella McCartney’s cozy knit, and, yes, the coats you earmarked had fur trim—though they are far from all-weather gear. Clearly, escapism and fantasy had the strongest pull. Twelve of the top pins were from the Pre-Fall collections, and almost all were sheer, extremely embellished, and entirely fantastical looks, such as the Oscar-worthy bird-embroidered dresses from Alexander McQueen and Valentino. Tied for 12th place on the list was Catbird founder Rony Vardi’s rustic Brooklyn brownstone, a dream locale for watching awards shows and sheltering from winter storms.
