Carmen
A small shop near Copenhagen’s cathedral (or Vor Frue Kirke), Carmen is chock-full of vintage silk Japanese kimonos. It also has a brilliant selection of shoes from designers like Bruno Magli and Yves Saint Laurent and a small section of beautiful old wedding dresses. You won’t find a ton of big-name designers at Carmen, but its kimonos, hair clips, heels, and frocks make it more than worthy of a visit.

Jérôme
Located in the Vesterbro neighborhood, Jérôme Vintage is housed inside a bright and airy store with sleek touches—a polished concrete floor and a mirror checkout counter. The go-to vintage spot founded by Pia Anna Kierulff is known for “its exceptionally curated luxury vintage with a Scandi minimal touch,” says Shiffman. Here you’ll find a wide range of vintage pieces like tourist tees, Courrèges from the ’70s, Dior costume jewelry circa the ’50s, and printed Hermès leggings. Plus, the store carries its own home label, Jerome Studio.

Magnolia’s
Just below a hat shop on Købmagergade, you’ll find a store that makes everybody’s list of top vintage stores in the city—Magnolia’s. “For cool-girl consignment and secondhand that ranges from Ganni to Chanel, Magnolia’s is your spot,” says Shiffman. The store, less vintage and more consignment, also accepts consignments. Plus, a majority of their treasure is posted and shoppable online.

O-S-V
O-S-V is short for og så videre which translates into “and so on” in Danish as a wink to the circularity of its secondhand pieces. Founded by Line Øland and Andrea Gry Munch in 2018, OSV intends to be a welcome place for visitors—there’s a coffee shop inside the store to encourage shopping and lingering. “Shopping here is like raiding your cool Danish friend’s wardrobe—a solid selection of both Danish and international brands,” Shiffman says.

I Blame Lulu
Here’s another spot for more consignment than vintage pieces in Copenhagen, and the bonus is that there are actually two locations—one in the city center and another in Charlottenlund. Those searching for a pristine shopping experience for secondhand pieces will be delighted at the like-new pieces on offer. Plus, there’s a private label if you’re looking for new new. Shoppers will also find all their inventory online too.

Time’s Up
This tiny shop is centrally located just down the street from the tourist-filled Round Tower. Time’s Up is packed with vintage finds like Chanel jeans from the ’90s, Yves Saint Laurent printed dresses and jackets from the ’60s, and tons of costume jewelry from Gucci, Escada, and more. They also have plenty of no-name-labeled vintage, whether a ruffled peasant blouse or a Deco-style cocktail dress. “It offers a covetable mix of designer pieces and unique vintage finds, all at a fair price point,” Shiffman says. “Don’t skip the men’s side for excellent jackets and knitwear.”
