Paris Fashion Week is officially underway and the stars are already out in full force, including none other than Chappell Roan.
Days after performing with Elton John at his Oscars after-party in Los Angeles, Chappell popped up in Paris to attend her first-ever fashion show at Rabanne. The singer sat front row, where she wore a backless cream and silver slip with lace trim, which she layered over a matching midi skirt. Chappell added a pair of dramatic dangling earrings to complement the metallics in her look.
Of course, no ensemble styled by Genesis Webb is complete without an accompanying makeup look. With her signature white face, she added a drag-inspired smokey eye that connected to her eyebrows and a neutral lip.

Though she is still relatively new on the scene, Chappell has a history with Rabanne and creative director Julien Dossena. At the 2024 VMAs, she accepted her Best New Artist award in a medieval, mixed-metal chainmail dress with a fringed headdress from the label, so it should only make sense that her first fashion show is with a brand that has recognized her star power from day one.
Mere hours later, Chappell underwent a metamorphosis for the Rick Owens show at the Palais de Tokyo. She kept the silver theme going, wearing a structural strapless dress with a large cutout at the bust and midriff. With it, she wore a pair of thigh-high black leather GCDS Morso boots with bared vampiric teeth standing in for a traditional heel. Chappell even found time to switch up her makeup look, adopting a symmetrical, butterfly-esque dot pattern across her cheeks and forehead.
On Saturday, Chappell traded in metallics for a red hot Ludovic de Saint Sernin number. She opted for a red leather one-shoulder dress that fell just below the knee, and added a pair of strappy black sandals. She slicked her telltale red hair back into a ponytail, leaving one strand curled around her shoulder, and opted for a white eyebrow that blended into her makeup. Outside the show, Chappell faced the winter weather by layering a brown sued coat with a shearling lining.
Later, at Vivienne Westwood, the singer sat front row alongside fellow Gen Z superstars Ice Spice and PinkPantheress. Channeling the late designer herself, Chappell wore her red hair teased, and added some more drama with a royal blue eye and liberal blush. She wore a floor-sweeping black sparkly maxi dress. The dress draped to reveal one of her breasts, covered by a sheer layer of fabric. She added plenty of silver hardware to toughen up the look, including a studded belt and Justine Clenquet hoop earrings.
On Saturday evening, she made her way to Alexander McQueen, where she sat on the front row with Sofia Isella, Zsela, Georgia Davies and Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party. She wore mostly McQueen—except for the pantyhose on her head—that leaned into the Victorian gothic arc of the show: A severe and pointy lapelled, pale yellow shirt under a black tailored suit with a nipped in waist and flowing pants. Her ginger hair hung in two thick strands underneath the aforementioned pantyhose, and once again, her makeup was ghostly white, with purple and black shadow hollowing out her eyes. She posed with her stylist Genesis Webb and her creative director Ramisha Sattar.
How could it get better? By attending Valentino, it seems. Roan kicked off her final day of PFW at the Valentino show in a sweeping, Marie Antoinette-esque Valentino gown. The dress features a black velvet bodice with a thick red bow at the waist, a white tulle and chiffon ballgown skirt adorned with pink flowers, and off-the-shoulder sleeves with the same floral detail. Her makeup was Vaudevillian, with a tinged pink complexion and sharply arching, pencil thin eyebrows, spikey eyelashes positioned below her lower lashline for an exaggerated dolly eye effect. Roan made her way from the car to the show and through a gaggle of paparazzi, hitching up her skirts to sweep into the show.
Chappell Roan has her first fashion week in the books, bringing a much-needed dose of subversive creativity to the City of Light.
