Christina Aguilera gave commuters a surprise (sort of) when she busked in the New York subway with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Thursday night. As soon as Aguilera, “disguised” in a floppy hat and denim dress, began to sing, it was easy to identify exactly who was providing the underground soundtrack at Rockefeller Center.
Aguilera and Fallon first did a lively rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Think” before it was revealed that Xtina was indeed behind the mic; she then gifted onlookers with a version of “Fighter,” before which she had a classic summertime subway moment: She complained that she was very, very hot. Aguilera just dropped her latest album, Liberation, which she says brings her back to her roots, complete with an accompanying makeunder transformation. Aguilera also performed the feminist-themed anthem “Fall In Line” on Fallon, which features a collaboration with Demi Lovato:
