8 Things to Know About Coach 1941 s Spring 2017 Show

Stuart Vevers presented his Spring 2017 collection for Coach 1941 today during New York Fashion Week. Inspired by beatniks, rebels, and all-American dreamers, Vevers turned Coach s sunny disposition on its head, sending out a band of tough girls in subversively cool frocks and studded leather jackets. 1. Coach always has a dramatic set; this season that meant several stacked rusted cars in the center of arena seating.

2. Front row stars included Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown and Riley Keough.

3. Alice Metza opened the show in a sheer prairie dress and leather jacket.

4. Many of the show s jackets featured embellishment on the back that referenced motorcycle gangs. The most coveted style, we d venture, will be the ones that read "bobcat rebel." Me-ow!

5. Models whimsical floral dresses were given a hard edge courtesy of the lug-soled creepers they were accompanied by, some with fringe and others with studded soles.

6. Coach got into the merch game too, though its take is more classic than what you might find at a downtown pop-up. The brand sent out a series of tees featuring collages of Elvis Presley photos.

7. Bags were personalized with scarves and padlocks that coordinated with each model s look.

8. The show closed with a series of studded fringe dresses that are sure to be seen on Coach s celebrity fans this season.
