“Éterne’s black halterneck single-handedly foiled my plans to hibernate for the month of January: It’s so perfect, I RSVP’d to multiple things I would have otherwise skipped just to be able to wear it. I also picked up the burgundy version of my favorite long-sleeve tee, which is super soft and stretchy, and perhaps more appropriate for cozy nights in.” —Elly Leavitt, lifestyle editor, shopping

“I don’t know what magic Alo puts in their waffle material but these joggers single-handedly got me through the month, which consisted of a self-inflicted ‘dry January,’ and a not-so-self-inflicted case of the flu, along with the 15 degree weather in NYC.” —Florence O’Connor, associate content manager

The Nostalgic Accessories

“Despite the fact that no matter where I lay my eyes in my apartment, there are always at least three leopard-print items in my field of vision, I somehow did not own a leopard-print coat (jackets, however, are another story). I used to have one as a teenager when I was very into Arctic Monkeys and Tumblr, and since everyone is saying 2026 is the new 2016, I thought it was high-time I re-integrated the statement coat into my wardrobe. I opted for this Mango one after seeing it on a very chic girl on the subway, and it is perfect in every way. Another nostalgic buy this month was a hat from Moda Operandi’s collaboration with the iconic Soho bistro Raoul’s. I used to eat there regularly when I lived on Prince Street, so I couldn’t help but get something from the limited-edition collection to have as a souvenir.” —Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer

The Runway-Inspired Earring

“I’ve been on the hunt for lucite earrings ever since I set eyes on the pairs that were used in Fforme’s Fall 2024 collection. Luckily for me, fashion editor Max Ortega styled the show, with our market editor Minty as his assistant, and they filled me in on where they sourced from: vintage Patricia Von Musulin. This month I finally pulled the trigger on a similar pair from eBay. They haven’t arrived just yet, but I’ll be patiently waiting!” —Madeline Fass, fashion market director, Vogue Shopping

The Cashmere Set

“I am constantly influenced by everyone in the office—especially Naomi Elizée Blue, who wore a version of this set to work and immediately stopped whatever (I’m sure) important thing we were talking about. I have a long-haul flight in March and can’t wait to travel in this, even if cashmere means I will be sweating in style.” —Sache Taylor, director, special events

The Hair Accessory Restock

“With an infant at home, my mornings allow far less time for elaborate hair rituals. This month, I invested in a few pieces that help my hair look polished—even when I’m relying on an air-dry. Shop Cord, from content creator Mary Orton, makes the only baseball caps I’d ever consider wearing, thanks to their unmistakable chic factor. Alexandre de Paris remains my go-to for faux tortoiseshell hair accessories, though I was especially drawn to a striking black-and-white iteration. On the bitter cold days, I’ve been tying a triangle scarf around my head—I also picked up additional colors in a Christmassy green and a vibrant tomato red. And finally, a visit to Zitomer resulted in a raid of their upper-floor hair accessory trove, where I stocked up on headbands to round out my new rotation.” —Lilah Ramzi-Goettemann, contributing editor

The Indigo Jean

“If you catch me in the office, I will likely be in denim—and if you catch me outside of it, the odds are the same. Equal parts a uniform and an obsession, a monthly addition to the ever-evolving rotation only feels right. This month, Loulou de Saison’s high-rise silhouette in a deep indigo made it out of the cart and into my closet.” —Ciarra Lorren Zatorski, fashion editor

The Activewear Wardrobe

“When the clock struck midnight and 2026 had officially begun, it meant one thing to my fiancé and me—our wedding year was finally here! With an early June wedding, it was time to really crank my fitness routine up a notch (or two, or three!). These sets from Beyond Yoga, Splits59, and Saisei have been on heavy rotation this past month. They all have soft, stretchy fabric in common. I’ve been wearing them all to SotoMethod classes in Tribeca, which have been sweaty and glorious! (The classes are designed to be efficient, predictable, and effective—highly recommend for anyone who is hoping to make time for more workouts this year!)” —Alexandra Ditch, associate commerce producer

The New Year Reset

“This month, I was on the go—visiting my fiancé in other cities, traveling for Couture Week, and (always) doing a lot of vintage shopping. My Oura ring score across it all was... abysmal, to say the least, but the cuteness of the new ceramic ring (mine is pink!) still made me happy to wear it anyways. I’m also always looking for a aesthetically palatable way to tote around my laptop—and when my friend and underwater basket weaver Erin Pollard revealed her latest, the laptop tote, it was love at first sight. A high-tech device carried in a lightweight, old-school artisanal bag? Tickled. Mine’s now personalized with wrapped twilly scarves, a Coach cherry charm, and loads more tchotchkes.” —Margaux Anbouba, senior beauty wellness editor

The Winter Sun Favorites

“I know what you’re thinking: why resort wear in January, while it’s actively snowing in New York City? But a recent trip to Harbour Island for my best friend’s wedding sent me into full warm-weather shopping mode. Enter SAME, a brand I recently discovered during a pop-up in Soho (they’ve since opened in Palm Beach) and immediately fell for. I wore both swimsuits on my trip—along with the ruffle-hem crop top and matching maxi skirt to the welcome party—and the compliments did not stop! Now, back in the dead of winter, I’m mentally fast-forwarding to summer, counting down the days until I can rewear all of these pieces. Only ~150 to go!” —Molly Barstein, associate manager, audience

My dear colleague, Alison Ward Frank, showed up wearing this sweater, and I immediately decided I needed the exact same one. It’s not too big, but it still has plenty of room for my 14-inch laptop, Smythson notebook, and the small army of pouches I use to house various daily essentials ranging from lip liner to sachets of ginger tea. The Playful Wardrobe Additions

“Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s iconic Norfolk Street store recently closed this month and at the brand’s close-out sale, I scored a pair of her fun opera wedges in a turquoise blue. She makes some of my favorite shoes—they never really require a break-in period, they’re that comfy. I can’t wait to pull them out the second I go somewhere warm in the near future. Also, I love tote bags and I have way too many, but my newest favorite is Old Jewish Men’s ‘schlep’ tote. The Warm Winter Accessories

“My favorite purchase of December was out of necessity. Sheer desperation during the cold front earlier this month landed me smack-dab in the Uniqlo flagship store to purchase some HeatTech essentials. The socks and gloves manage to be both comfortable and shockingly warm—I’ll soon pick up more shades. After braving the tundra, I decided to hibernate for a bit, so a new lounge set was key. Not sure how what I was thinking by buying a new pair of shoes—I simply do not want to leave the house, but I guess I’ll have to make a dinner reservation to take my slingbacks for a spin.” —Kiana Murden, commerce editor, Vogue Beauty

The Flattering Basics

“I don’t know why I have been so resistant to buying a pair of dark wash jeans, but I finally caved in with this pair of Levi’s that I tried on at Aritzia. They are the perfect wide-leg, and the low-rise cut is more flattering than I anticipated! Everyone is always in an eternal search to find the perfect T-shirt, and I feel like mine has finally come to an end with Plain Jane’s iteration. “If you’ve seen me recently, you’ve probably seen me wrapped up like a present in this red scarf. I have worn it enthusiastically almost every day since I got it, as I hoped I would. A few weeks ago I picked up Leset’s cropped pointelle pant in black—it’s quickly become my Sunday’s best for doing little more than walking to and from the Park Slope Food Coop. The End-of-Year Wardrobe Refresh

“Shopping in November is always a bit strange: you’re buying warmer pieces as fall transitions into winter, festive holiday outfits, and, in my case, stocking up on cute pieces for a beach vacation. My purchases have been kind of all over the place this month. I picked up this Flore Flore top because the neckline caught my eye—I find it elevates my usual jeans and tee combo. Speaking of jeans, I’ve been living in this Gap low-rise bootcut pair since I got them, and love the darker wash for winter. And although I live in my Repetto Camille heels, I realized I didn’t own simple black ballet flats, so I got this pair from Jeffrey Campbell, which reminded me of The Row’s Stella slippers. Finally, I got a mini dress from Réalisation Par for my trip to the Caribbean in January, which I can’t wait to throw over a bathing suit during the day, or wear with kitten heels at night!” —Fred Sahai, associate commerce producer
