The Olivier-nominated actress Cush Jumbo starts her run tonight as Josephine Baker in the Public Theater s latest staging, Josephine and I, the compelling story of the legendary singer. Jumbo, who wrote and stars in the production, snapped pics of the day before the big night: chronicling everything from her morning with her dog Henry to hair and makeup (pro tip: Tarte Cosmetics and FHI Heat!) before the dress rehearsal. Along the way, she reveals a hint at her costume: a gorgeous gown by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture.
