Last night, the buzzy new restaurant Bridges in Chinatown s Chatham Square’ was filled with New York’s social set, there to celebrate the AW24 ECCO x Natacha Ramsay-Levi collection. Co-hosted by designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi and Chloë Sevigny, the intimate dinner featured close friends, culinary creations, and, of course, cool shoes.
“ECCO, to me, is really a brand where it is important to find the balance between form and function. And I would say my role in that is to play and blur the limits of one and the other,” Ramsay-Levi tells Vogue.
A star-studded collection of guests mingled about the cocktail hour—Peyton List, Derek Blasberg, Theophilus London, Alex Consani, Aweng Chuol, Teddy Quinlivan, Chiara Aurelia—and then everyone was ushered into the backroom for a personal and powerful performance from singer-songwriter Kacy Hill.
As everyone returned to the dinner table, chef Sam Lawrence—known for his Michelin-starred work at Estela—served up Parisian and Basque-inspired dishes. The long table held a host of conversations, footwear, and fashion sound bites wafting in the dimly lit room.
This is Ramsay-Levi s third collaboration with the Danish footwear and lifestyle brand, as she continues to reimagine ECCO s signature styles by infusing contemporary character into her shoes. “This evening is something that is very authentic,” said Ramsay-Levi. “Chloë Sevigny has been wearing these shoes over and over again, I think everybody was very happy that she recognized this as an interesting design. So it felt very natural to do something with her and to do something in New York—because the boutique here is very special. It s big, it s beautiful, it s a new concept.”
