Once Jennifer Hudson finished her tribute to Prince at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards, a very chic crew—including host Joel McHale, suited up in custom David Hart, and his wife, Sarah Williams; Vogue’s Hamish Bowles, in his natty Gucci suit, with Diane von Furstenberg; and countless designers—flocked to Samsung’s 837 space just opposite the Standard. Celebrating their honors were Donna Karan, Brandon Maxwell, and the Orley trio, who boogied down with Naomi Campbell, Vera Wang, and Emily Ratajkowski. Also taking in the festivities was Jessica Chastain—along with her date, winner Paul Andrew—who looked ready to shimmy in her stilettos. But as the Thom Browne–clad model clique proceeded into the party, joined by Jillian Hervey of Lion Babe, who accompanied designer Adam Selman, the night was only just getting started.
