As soon as spring is in the air, it’s sexy cardi time. In other words, it’s time to wear a barely-buttoned cardigan as a top. New-mom Emily Ratajkowski kept the look alive and well this past week. Ratajkowski, who gave birth to a baby in early March, stepped out in a midriff-revealing, slinky black knit cardigan from Aya Muse. She paired the top with a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg beige pants and black sneakers. Under her arm was the carryall of the moment: a white shoulder bag.
The sexy cardi look is something that has been cropping up on celebrities like Kaia Gerber and Bella Hadid and on the runway for a few seasons now. After all, it’s the perfect transitional piece that’s made to cover-up but becomes saucy when it’s just hanging on by a button. As for Ratajkowski’s look, her black cardi with just enough bare tummy adds the right amount of allure to her pared-back look.
