I fell in love with this Marc Jacobs dress after Grace Coddington styled Daria Werbowy wearing it for the “Masterpiece Theater” story in the December 2007 issue. What was so special about the runway version of this dress, though, was the slip; it was transparent, and the hemline fell lower than the red apron. The commercial version was sold with a short opaque black slip, so I had a transparent one made to return the look to its intended state. From the front, it
s conservative, but from the side, it has a bit of attitude! I like an unexpected element in the way I dress. The Céline wedges make the dress more appropriate for the office: They’re so simple, yet so chic.
