Peter Pilotto has incredible prints. I picked up this top and skirt in London to wear to an event hosted by Samantha Cameron at Downing Street and another guest had the same one on, but in a different color. (We shared an approving glance.) It’s great because you can wear the skirt and top separately, or, when worn together, you can dress it up or down. Cinching my Gryphon trench (the only trench I own) with a Proenza Schouler belt, it works well for day. And the slits make it super-easy to run around the Met (my second home as of late—the Gala is only one week away!).
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
s annual Costume Institute Gala is Monday, May 2-only six days away. See what Vogue
s Director of Special Events and the master planner behind the big night, Sylvana Ward Durrett, wore to the office last week (while she was in the midst of putting the final touches on what
s become unofficially known as the party of the year).
