There’s no better kind, which is why it was more than refreshing to see Frances Bean Cobain take over London Fashion Week with plenty of attitude, a slew of darkly romantic frocks, and that signature plum pout of hers. Whether attending Gareth Pugh’s imaginative Spring 2017 show draped in a striped dress or charmingly flicking off the cameras with supermodel bestie Bella Hadid while out to dinner, Cobain did so with the kind of panache one would come to expect from the offspring of ultimate style-rule breakers Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.
But she wasn’t all hellion: While attending Elton John’s Apple Music Festival performance with her mom and another supermodel bestie, Cara Delevingne, Cobain chose a ruffled marigold yellow frock that felt sweetly reminiscent of the baby doll dresses Love once made famous. And with the fashion world moving onto Milan tomorrow, we wonder if the young Cobain and her cool will be among them.
