You know Garrett Neff as the American model with the cheekbones that just don t quit, but there s more to the him than meets the eye. In 2015, Neff launched a menswear brand that began as a swimwear collection and has since expanded into tees, knits, and trousers, offering up nautical-inspired daywear for laidback guys not unlike the designer himself. For Resort 2018, the model-turned-designer staged his first fashion show in Sydney, Australia, taking over the Andrew Boy Charlton Pool for a military-minded show.
Inspired by his summers on the Chesapeake Bay, Neff sent out nautical flag adorned briefs, deck blazers, and rugby stripe knitwear. The models walked barefoot around the Olympic-sized pool, with the Australian navy base serving as a picturesque backdrop for some of the collection s American military-inspired detailing. Still, it wasn t too serious—as Neff wrote in his show notes it s about "practicality with a twist of fun." Translation: No shirt, no shoes, no problem.
