Donatella Versace presented her Fall 2016 Versace collection at Milan Fashion Week on Friday. The event paired supermodels with super-short skirts and sport detailing—we’d say that’s a can’t-be-beat combo. Among the 59 looks, Versace sent out pastel minidresses, multicolored furs, paillette-trim separates, and several slinking slip dresses bound for the red carpet. Here, the seven high points of the show to peruse while you wait for Sarah Mower’s review.
1. All the big-names supes walked this season, including Adriana Lima, Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, Romina Lanaro, Irina Shayk, Andreea Diaconu, Jamie Bochert, Malgosia Bela, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Jourdan Dunn, and Karlie Kloss.
2. Friends Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid both walked in the show. Hadid opened, while Jenner walked midway through in a mint minidress and pastel pink fur-lined coat.
3. Several looks featured jagged strips of neon colors.
4. Athleisure at Versace? Better believe it. Many ensembles came with sport details, and some were even paired with athletic stripe gauntlets.
5. The slip dress lives on! Mica Arganaraz’s pale pink palette number is red carpet–ready, too—maybe we’ll see it on Oscar night this Sunday?
6. Versace introduced chain-link jewelry including dangling earrings and long pendants that resemble body jewelry.
7. Models sported bombshell hair with the quirky addition of elastic headbands worn right at the scalp. Their eyes were rimmed in kohl as a sexy counter to their sporty looks.
