Hailey Bieber has spent her time in New York standing on business; seeing through Rhode’s first ever retail expansion at Sephora with a workwear-with-a-twist wardrobe full of skirt suits and separates, jewel-toned shirts, and sleek tailoring via Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and Yves Saint Laurent, as envisioned by stylist Dani Michelle.
Now we’re well acquainted with ‘Hailey Bieber on the stock exchange’ core, the Rhode founder took some time to have a rare date night with husband Justin, and slipped into something more evening-appropriate.
Hailey and Justin were seen leaving The Twenty Two Hotel in their usual clashing couples outfit formula. The SWAG singer opted for a vintage graphic t-shirt emblazoned with cats in colorful sunglasses, his favored silhouette of pooling baggy indigo jeans cuffed at the ankles and tied with a drawstring, and lilac sneakers. Hailey, meanwhile, wore a silky black négligée-inspired slip dress with a plunging neckline and sheer floral embroidery around the bust. She completed the look with slim Saint Lauren sunglasses, a quilted moon-shaped handbag, and open-toed black mules with buckle detailing. (A favored shoe, this summer).
Another look for the evening saw Hailey slip on a slinky, not-so-office-appropriate gray suit set, with billowing pants and a deep v-neck tied low on the navel. She wore open sandals with metal toe-posts and matched her eyes to the look with an iridescent shade, opting to go sans-accessories.
As mentioned, her New York wardrobe has delighted in playing with corporate style tenets: a dove gray co-ord from Donna Karan spring summer 1996, a buttery YSL blazer from the Tom Ford era, a Dior skirt suit, a mustardy YSL pencil skirt, and more killer pieces from her beloved The Row, Phoebe Philo, and Gucci.
While the Rhode founder sold sold her company to Elf Beauty for a cool $1 billion, Bieber is still very much at the creative helm. And thank god, if it means more on and off the clock looks like these.
