There’s no denying that Halle Berry hit the genetic jackpot. But throughout her three-decade-long career, Berry has worked hard to maintain her robust Bond Girl hall-of-fame physique. And gearing up for her forthcoming new film John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, in which she plays a fierce assassin alongside Keanu Reeves, seems to have only escalated the 52-year-old star s longstanding intensive workout schedule.

The Oscar-winning actress not only condensed three years of martial arts training into a six-month window ahead of shooting, but sustained injuries—and fought through them—in the process. "I had broken ribs for probably 5 weeks and didn’t really realize it… just trying to tough it out like everybody else… and then one day I dropped to the ground and couldn’t breathe," she explained during an interview on the Today show this morning. After a brief training hiatus, Berry got back to work, honing her skills with rigorous fight and firearm training. "It was just a full on, six month, all immersive experience," she admitted. And the results of her hard work show.

Stepping out for her appearance in New York City, Berry wore a striking red Antonio Berardi trench-dress; the frock s abbreviated hemline revealing what we already suspect to be true: Her legs are as perfectly toned as ever. Traipsing around busy midtown bare-legged in her metallic stiletto sandals, Berry s sculpted, sinewy limbs not only awed, but gleamed thanks to a layer of supercharged moisturizer.

Stunningly fit thanks to her well-calibrated fitness regimen, Berry—Hollywood heavyweight, mother of two, and certifiable badass—keeps proving that an enviable physique has no age limit.
