Even in a full-on badass black leather jumpsuit, Marianne Faithfull, the star of 1968 film The Girl on a Motorcycle (aka Naked Under Leather), was unmistakably an English rose. Her big, soulful eyes and wheat-color doll’s bangs lent the singer and actress an air of vulnerability, but she was no shrinking violet, nor did she gather any moss.
