Yesterday, Justin Bieber shared video footage from his recent snowboarding trip to Park City, Utah. In the two-minute segment set to his song “Been You,” the musician cuts down mountains and takes small leaps over mounds of snow on his board. This morning, according to his Instagram, he was casting a long fly-fishing line on a remote glassy body of water. And just last month, he took to the social media platform to perform anti-gravitational feats with a soccer ball on a palm tree–dotted stretch of grass.
If Bieber’s concerts are a demonstration of the former child star’s finely tuned vocals, they also illustrate a lifetime’s worth of endurance-building activities. Before he snaps a photo in a gym, the 22-year-old is much more likely to be found, at least online, shooting hoops or landing backside flips on his skateboard. Even shirtless selfies are accompanied by captions such as: “Need to get back out and play some puck.” Call it proof that the best workout regimen is making the most of your leisure time. But, if the man behind Kanye West’s favorite song of 2015 ever decides to throw in the towel on music, here are eight sports he may just have a future in.
Going up the mountain is as fun as going down—he’ll show you.
March Madness meets Bieber Fever.
Call it a case of rebranding, but Bieber has been taking up quieter pursuits lately, from fly-fishing to acoustic guitar.
One less lonely wave.
Hitting the green. Why not?
When he does finally get the chance to “play some puck,” Bieber leans in.
The bass is to music as pants are to skateboarding: dropped low.
First you kick with the left, then you turn right.
