While many flee to Ibiza or the French Riviera for the end of the summer season, parties are still in full swing on both coasts stateside. On Friday evening, director Steve McQueen and Kanye West participated in a talk with LACMA CEO and Director Michael Govan about their collaborative installation, "All Day/I Feel Like That." On view for only four days, the event drew out a buzzy crowd including West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo, and Scott Sternberg.
Across the country, Jessica Seinfeld hosted an intimate lunch at her Amagansett, New York home with Tod’s creative director, Alessandra Facchinetti. In addition to showing off the fresh produce, the duo also had a bevy of bags on hand from the fall collection. “I think the Cape bag in the large size is perfect for the mom on the go,” said Facchinetti, with Seinfeld adding, “I usually don’t stop for lunch so I’ll carry a bag of almonds, a Mophie charger, and oregano oil drops with me.” Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Carlos Mota, and Amanda Brooks were also in attendance.
Nearby, the 22nd Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit brought out a slew of chic artists honoring Inga Maren Otto. Inspired by the lush settings were designers including Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne and John Varvatos. Also taking in the soiree were Daniel Arsham, Brooke Shields, and Laura de Gunzburg while Simon de Pury hosted an auction. And to wrap up the gorgeous weekend? Leave it to the Public School boys to partner up with artist Arsham for a fun dinner at the Surf Lodge in Montauk.
