Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived in Paris today, but earlier in London, the royals took the time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish Guards. Naturally, Middleton dressed for the occasion. Her custom shamrock-green Catherine Walker coat dress was in line with some of Middleton’s other recent looks, which have featured a double-breasted silhouette and a to-the-knee length.

The duchess’s ensemble today combined old-world details—velvet trim at the collar, cuffs, and pockets—with a modern fit, and was topped off with matchy-matchy accessories: a tonally appropriate Lock Co. hat, Monica Vinader earrings, and Gianvito Rossi suede stilettos. No doubt the rest of her wardrobe for her tour of the City of Light will be just as regal.
