No one has mastered the art of transitional season wear like the iconic Kate Moss. Whether she’s in a perfectly flared pair of jeans or an effortlessly cool suit, her style transcends the crutches of trends and has been a constant source of inspiration for decades. So, of course, it made sense for Anine Bing to pick the legendary supermodel turned businesswoman to star in its latest campaign, which coincides with the Los Angeles–based brand’s 10th anniversary and founder Anine Bing’s 40th birthday.
This isn’t the first time Moss has teamed up with the brand; it has actually been on her radar for a while now. “We’ve had a connection for a few years as they sold some clothing which featured an image of me taken by Terry O’Neill, so I’ve been familiar with the brand since then,” Moss tells Vogue. “I really liked the last campaign they shot with Irina [Shayk] and so happily accepted their offer to work together this season.”
It’s a match made in heaven, especially since both Moss and the Anine Bing brand exude a rebellious chic energy that doesn’t try to keep up with trends. “I haven’t ever really followed trends,” Moss explains. “I prefer to choose what I wear based on where I’m going and how I’m feeling.” To channel Moss’s timeless approach to dressing this fall, read on to discover the transitional weather essentials on her shopping list.

Moss poses in Anine Bing’s latest campaign in leather pieces that include wide-leg trousers and belted jackets. And it turns out those were among some of her favorites that she’s excited to wear this fall. “I loved the leather pieces,” says Moss. “They were so soft and luxurious.”

“I also took home the high-waist denim flares from the shoot, as they were the perfect fit,” Moss admits. “All the pieces I wore fitted perfectly; and for me that is so important with denim. Once I find a style I love, I get multiple pairs and wear them all the time.”

One of Anine Bing’s latest launches is the Kate bag—yes, it’s named after Moss—and, of course, it’s another must-have on her shopping list. What does she love the most about it? “The size,” Moss explains. “It’s perfect for the day when I am doing meetings and appointments; you can take everything you need.”
Tailored Jackets
For everyday chicness when the temperatures start to drop, Moss loves elevated outerwear. “The perfect T-shirt is hard to find but so important,” says Moss. “[So is] a well-tailored jacket, and denim I can wear every day.”

“I love my band T-shirts, some I’ve had for years,” says Moss. “Paired with a skinny jean and ankle boot, the ultimate rock ’n’ roll inspired look.”

For the celebrations and dressier moments that pop up during the fall, Moss turns to the reliable slip dress. “You can’t beat a bias cut silk dress for a night out, timeless and flattering,” Moss says.
