While Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky’s relationship isn’t completely confirmed, there is perhaps a clue to their budding romance tucked away in their twinning fanny-pack styles. Yes, you heard right: The duo—who has been spotted together several times over the past few months—has a similar way of wearing the accessory that was once synonymous with confused tourists and overzealous rollerbladers. But the pair is separately making a case for elevating the waist-piece. Today in Paris, Jenner topped off her casual look of cropped trousers and a white sweater with a dark green Chanel fanny pack from What Goes Around Comes Around slung over her shoulder and under her arm. This comes a few weeks after her rumored beau A$AP Rocky also sported a fanny pack in the same style: He was spotted wearing an oversize orange Balenciaga bum bag swung under his arm this past New York Fashion Week.

Though the fanny pack has long been considered nerdy, Jenner and A$AP Rocky’s way of wearing it under their arm (instead of around the waist) is transforming the piece’s reputation. Plus, the look has made an appearance on the runways, too: Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2016 collection showed a leopard-print fanny pack worn across the body and over the shoulder. More recently, the bag had a stand-out moment on the Louis Vuitton Fall 2017 menswear runway: The first look was a model wearing a red leather Supreme fanny pack across his chest.

While the question remains whether or not Jenner is taking personal fanny-pack advice from her possible boyfriend A$AP Rocky, it is clear that wearing the piece under the arm is now celebrity-approved—and rather cool-looking, too.
