Lisa has officially touched down at the 2024 MTV VMAs. While the singer may be best known for her role in the K-pop group Blackpink, Lisa is hitting the UBS Arena in New York tonight to celebrate her solo achievements.
Nominated for a moonperson for her song “Rockstar,” Lisa more than dressed the part. (Though the song has netted a few nominations, her most competitive field is the best K-Pop category, where she’ll face off against Stray Kids, New Jeans, Tomorrow x Together, NCT Dream, and Jungkook.) She wore a floor-sweeping nude Mugler dress, complete with built-in gloves and a draped hood. Peeking out from under the ethereal peach layer was an architectural nude corset complete with metallic embellishments along the neckline.
Lisa’s look was reminiscent of Botticelli’s painting of Aphrodite emerging from the sea, both vibes-wise and in the way the bottom of the dress pooled around her like the goddess’s clamshell. But as if the statement-making dress weren’t enough, Lisa also added some fabulous jewelry to the look—namely, a Bvlgari serpenti necklace that wrapped around her neck. Consider us (snake) charmed!
