Often when we’re shopping for an everyday “investment” coat, we head for the racks of more tailored pieces—but lately, several ultra-stylish women have been spotted out and about in a look that works just as hard as an everyday essential, but is anything but basic: Max Mara’s Teddy Bear Icon coat.
The brand s classic teddy bear, first presented in the Max Mara Fall/Winter 2013 show, was first made famous thanks to it s plush fabric and statement-making style, and it has remained on-trend ever since. Take Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, for instance, who recently mixed the cozy-cool Teddy with her signature starlet-glam skinny jeans and ankle boots. Or Kim Kardashian West and Rita Ora; they both topped off streamlined black looks with the luxe furry piece. Elsa Hosk threw hers on over a double-denim look, while Hailey Baldwin made a perfect weekend look from jeans and the Teddy, this time with a hoodie and fuzzy pink slides. And punching up her track-pants-and-sneakers outfit was Heidi Klum in the red edition of Max Mara’s plush style. (Seems like they too are wrapped up in the idea of choosing a coat that’s sumptuous and eclectic, but oh so easy to wear.)
Even better? For Fall-Winter 2018, the brand is releasing five new colors in addition to the classic camel, black and red. So you can now get the Teddy Bear Icon coat in pink, grey, leopard print, white, and navy blue.
