Today, as Milan Fashion Week is coming to a close, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented a joyful Fall 2017 collection, filled with many of the classic Italian motifs they’ve made their own. Another homegrown tradition that shone on the runway was the house’s always-romantic beauty look, which this season provided a tongue-in-cheek lesson on Italian girl party hair.
It calls for an all-out approach—many lengths blown out beautifully into loose waves, then topped with a flashing gilded crown, as seen below on model Sonia Ben Ammar, for a little something that sparkles. Rather than play down the makeup, the Dolce Gabbana girl piles it on with a perfectly lined matte red lip, full lashes, and a coat of liquid black eyeliner, drawn out from the eye into a feline flick à la Monica Vitti—truly bellissima.
