Whimsy isn t typically a word that’s synonymous with my wardrobe; I loathe the twee and am a staunch believer in the power of a limited palette. So I m not the person you might immediately peg to be wearing Minna Parikka s signature bunny kicks. They re not twee, by any means, but far enough out of my comfort zone that a few friends registered real surprise when I sent them snaps of my feet in the designer s low-top sneaker version. The clean lines of the shoe lend these a sophisticated shape, while the addition of ears and a tail adds a playful touch. Teamed with a white tee, cropped Re/Dones, and classic coat, they re a great way to dip a toe into the waters of whimsy—while eschewing the full-on Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
