Today, Chanel will take over Cinecittà’s Studio 5 to present its Métiers d’Art 2016 collection. While we can’t tell you what kind of magic Karl Lagerfeld has in store for the presentation, we can look back on the movie magic made at Rome’s legendary studios. Built during Fascist rule, the studio became a favorite of Federico Fellini and has also served as the backdrop for directors from Martin Scorsese to Wes Anderson. Here, we remember 15 of the most stylish productions shot at Cinecittà. Who knows, maybe a little Cleopatra flourish might even appear in Lagerfeld’s Chanel collection?
