Looking for some home goods to spruce up your space? This November, not only are there a number of new fashionable collections, but several of them have a feel-good factor that goes beyond the aesthetic. Altuzarra Home, for example, only offers items that are sustainably and ethically made. Then there’s the Artist Plate Project, where 45 of the world’s most famous visual artists created limited-edition decorative ceramic that’s sure to be a cultural conversation starter. All proceeds go to fighting homelessness.

So, without further ado, here are the recently released home collections we are swooning over. And, with Giving Tuesday on November 30, some are the perfect thing to purchase pronto.

Altuzarra Home

Joseph Altuzarra’s debut home collection features blankets, pillows and baskets made by Central and South American makers with ethical practices. A cream fringed throw with a black monogram comes from a family-run, women-owned textile manufacturer in the Andean highlands committed to fair trade practices, whereas a basket is woven in Southern Mexico using the abundant, sustainable palm leaves. The offerings are comfortable, cozy, and most importantly, consciously crafted.

Alfredo Paredes and John Derian’s Christmas Tray

Alfredo Paredes, an interior designer and former chief creative retail officer of Ralph Lauren, collaborated with beloved decoupage artist John Derian on a special holiday tray. Showing Santa Claus hanging an ornament on a fir tree, all proceeds will go to God Love’s We Deliver which provides those with serious illnesses free, nutritious meals.

Artist Plate Project

45 world-renowned artists—including Virgil Abloh, George Condo, Ed Ruscha, Lisa Yuskavage, and Amy Sherald—created unique works for The Coalition For the Homeless’s Artist Plate’s Project. The money raised from the $195 ceramics will go to emergency food and clothing, eviction prevention, rental assistance, job training, youth programs, and crisis services to those at-risk—which due to the pandemic, is more in-need than ever.
