One can always count on Michael Kors for a fabulous camel coat. At his Fall 2017 show at New York Fashion Week today, Kors served up not one, not two, but a whole runway full of options. That’s not all. As designers reference niche pockets of Americana across NYFW, Kors, too, has retuned to his posh roots, sending out a Love Story–like take on American style with plaids, trenches, and fox fur collars making up much of his collection. Here, a recap of the show while you wait for Nicole Phelps’s review.

The Major Model MomentsIt will be hard to beat the mega-models on Kors’s runway this season. The show opened with Brit girl Edie Campbell, who was followed by a parade of legendary supers (Carolyn Murphy, Isabeli Fontana, Iselin Steiro, Guinevere van Seenus, Natasha Poly, Arizona Muse, Karmen Pedaru, Amber Valletta) and current favorites (Ashley Graham, Bella Hadid, Aymeline Valade, Joan Smalls). Kendall Jenner closed the show in a black gown.

The FursKors’s fur offering this season was no joke. From the caramel number Carolyn Murphy wore to the patterned pink and fuchsia coat sported by Marjon Jonkman, the plush outerwear will be the talk of front rows today.

The Monochrome MomentsThe easiest styling tip to take from the Kors runway will be to cover yourself in a single hue. Camel is, of course, the designer’s favorite, but looks arrived in all gray, olive, mahogany, and mauve, too.
