Today marked Ralph Lauren’s second see-now-buy-now show at New York Fashion Week. Held in Lauren’s uptown store, the show was a typically posh affair that presented understated yet glamorous outfits that would carry a RL shopper from holiday (those taupe separates) to work (pantsuits, anyone?) to evenings out on the town. The A-List GuestsAllison Williams, Emmy Rossum, Jessica Biel, Camilla Belle, and Bella Heathcote all sat in Lauren’s front row, wearing shades of black and ivory.
The 50 Shades of BeigeThe show’s opening looks arrived in sandy colors like ivory, beige, and tan. It may be freezing outside now, but it’s easy to picture these looks out and about on a breezy spring day.
The New SupermodelsBella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Taylor Hill were among the buzzy models in Lauren’s show today. Hadid’s final look, an apricot sporty poncho in satin, was among the most Instagrammed moments of the show.
The Shimmery FinaleIf those beige looks were for day, Lauren had a dramatically different idea for evening. The designer sent out dramatic gowns in rich jewel tones that are sure to appear on the remaining red carpets of awards season. We’d say keep your eyes peeled, but these numbers will be hard to miss.
