The Georgian cool girl Nini Nebieridze has gone through several style transformations since we first spoke to her a year and a half ago. Back then, the local model and owner of Tbilisi’s Chaos Concept Store sported a youthful bazaar-plucked look. No matter how random her clothing choices seemed, her final combinations always managed to work effortlessly together. Think: a splash of Vetements, plenty of stellar thrift finds, a bit of Margiela, and a flash of Loewe. A few months later, we met Nebieridze again, who was then eight months pregnant. The glowing mom-to-be showed off her bump in oversize men’s shirts worn as dresses and lounge-about track pants with chandelier earrings. Other ways she put the bump on display? Nebieridze even walked the Fall 2017 runway for Georgian Paris-based haute couture designer Djaba Diassamidze in a dress with her pregnant belly exposed.
Nebieridze has since given birth to a rambunctious boy, Temuri, who is now 10 months old. And the busy mom is pregnant yet again. Nebieridze’s second pregnancy has coincided with a much more colorful approach to her wardrobe. “I can’t wear black,” she says. “I’m going crazy with colors. It’s a better feeling when you’re pregnant.” So how does that elated feeling translate look-wise? Nebieridze effortlessly struts around her living room in an oversize pink shirt by the Georgian label LTFR; a vintage Liz Claiborne denim button-down with a horse print; white tights; and glitter-coated violet boots from Céline. As for what Temuri wears? A Lilliputian red onesie that once belonged to Nebieridze herself. Turns out, it’s never too early to learn styling tips from mom.
