Cardi B is characteristically blunt when defining the difference between a margarita and her favorite cocktail to make at home, a “Cardi-rita.” “The difference between a Cardi-rita and a margarita is, you know, I did it,” she says, with a laugh. (Although that’s not entirely true: a Cardi-rita also features a creamy topping of Lime Whip Shots—making the already alcoholic concoction just that much more boozy.)
In the latest video for Vogue’s series Now Serving, the rapper shares her favorite recipes for entertaining—and, in the process, is utterly entertaining herself. There are only two instances where she cooks, Cardi explains. One: ”When I have friends over or family over.” Two: for her man. “When I cook for my man I get sexy,” she says, gesturing to her cut-out top. “You see my fit?” Other than the Cardi-Rita, she also shares that her go-to is a “corn street style dip” that she found on Instagram.
She also talks about her new song, “Bongos,” with Megan the Stallion. (The music video, which cost two million dollars to produce, quickly shot to number one on YouTube. “The fashion was amazing,” says Cardi.) Like much of her music, Cardi just went with her gut: “I like what I like,” she explains simply. “Then other people like it too.”
