What to wear when picking up awards season’s first major acting gongs? For Timothée Chalamet, it’s Marty Mauser-core. For Owen Cooper and Jacob Elordi, it’s all about custom Bottega Veneta—and Owen Cooper turned it out at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards in the night’s best leathers.
The young British star of the hit TV series Adolescence scooped the award for best supporting actor in a limited series or movie made for television. At 16 years old, Cooper had already made history as the youngest male Emmy winner last year, and he’s made it once again with his Critics Choice win. Cooper beat out his co-star Ashley Walters, but the show collected plenty of victories across the night: Stephen Graham won in the best actor category, while best supporting actress went to Erin Doherty.
Cooper, who was also presenting, wore a buttery black, padded leather jacket with a collar that featured the house’s Intrecciato weave and a zig-zagging pattern on the placket. Cooper paired it with tailored black pants and softly square-toed black leather shoes. The look was sleek and understated, leaning on the quietly exquisite, craft-focused designs of the house, led by Louise Trotter. Bottega has been a go-to for Cooper, who’s often worn the house’s signature leathers and impeccable suits and attended Bottega’s spring 2026 show in Milan.
Jacob Elordi, who won best supporting actor for his performance in Frankenstein, of course also opted for Bottega as a longtime devotee to the label. He chose one of those aforementioned, expertly tailored suits, adding a pair of rose-tinted sunglasses to his ’70s-inspired look.
We’ll next see Owen Cooper onscreen in the much-anticipated forthcoming Wuthering Heights movie, directed by Emerald Fennell, which also stars Elordi. While the costume design is more Regency and Bryonic than Bottega, expect to see the boys doing the press-tour circuit in style.
